Extension of curfew till 22nd April;  ‘Replace words like servant, maid’ – Ads harming dignity banned

Extension of curfew till 22nd April; Expats not allowed to enter Kuwait until further notice.

Kuwait Government spokesperson Tariq Al-Muzrim confirmed that the partial curfew can continue in Kuwait starting from Thursday the eighth(8) of April to the twenty-second (22) April from 7.00 pm to 5.00 am. Walking inside residential areas is permitted from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm only. No use of vehicles to be made. He further stated that in the amount of curfew within the month of Ramadan, delivery service to restaurants, cafes, and food marketing centers are going to be allowed from 7 pm until 3 am. He added that shopping is going to be allowed from cooperatives and similar sorts of supermarkets using a meeting /reservation system from 7 pm to 12 midnight.

Curfews were lowered from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. during Ramadan. From 7 to 10 p.m., take a walk.

 The Council of Minister talked about in today's meeting to lessen time limitation timings and affirmed timing from 7 pm to 5 am. Strolling permitted from 7 pm to 10 pm. Eatery conveyance timing stretched out until 3 am. This timing will be executed from April eighth to April 22nd.

The Ministry of Commerce has banned job advertisements containing any word or phrase which negatively affects the dignity of expatriate workers, domestic workers et al. with similar status, reports Al-Jarida daily. The ministry stressed the necessity to avoid using such words in job advertisements, adding that the subsequent phrases: ‘to sell’, ‘to buy’ and ‘to assign’, should get replaced with the term "transfer of service" and the terms "servant" and "servant" should be replaced by the term "worker".
Meanwhile, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Customer Service Affairs at the Ministry of Communications Muhammad Al-Hais has confirmed the completion of quite 90 percent of the glass fiber network project linking the Ministry of Education (MoE) schools with five divisions to hide all parts of the country.

Disclosed:

 Al-Hais revealed in a recent statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the project provides schools of the Ministry of Education with high-speed internet services and asymmetric solutions for a high-security private network. thereby, leading to digital transformation. In a related development, Al-Qabas daily quoted Al-Hais as saying that the concerned employees completed a week-long training course on glass fiber through the web to familiarize themselves with the types of fiber cables and methods of putting in these cables. In addition, a special online visit was conducted to most laboratories in China for the workers to find out about the newest devices and technologies within the field of communication and information technology.
