Paleo Diet Meal, also known as the caveman diet or the hunter-gatherer diet is a nutritional plan, which is based on presumed foods that were habitually consumed by hominid species during the Paleolithic era - a period dating back from about 2.5 million to 10, 000 years ago.

The concept behind the Paleo diet plan is that humans were evolving prior to the agricultural revolution, which changed the human diet in a big way. According to its proponents, grains were not part of the prehistoric human diet. It was introduced 10,000 years ago during the agricultural revolution.

The last 200 years of the industrial revolution have changed our diet even further through the introduction of artificial and processed foods. The increased ability of the modern man to store food for a long time has also led to an increase in the amount of food available. As a result, humans are consuming significantly larger amounts of foods than they used to 10,000 years ago.

All these developments in the human diet have created a detrimental effect on people's health. Diseases of modern civilization such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, which are prevalent in developed and fast-developing countries are can be attributed to these dietary changes.

The Paleo diet was proposed as a way of dealing with the negative effects of modern diets that include huge portions of processed, unhealthy foods. It involves mimicking hunter-gatherer societies by eating foods that were available to humans thousands of years ago when there was no technology. A Paleo diet meal is typically composed of foods like nuts, roots, fungi, fruit, vegetables, grass-fed pasture-raised meats, and fish.
