How to Remove URLs from Yahoo's Index
The most important feature recently added to Yahoo! Site Explorer is the ability to delete URLs from their index.
YES! Finally, we now have the ability to remove URLs from Yahoo's index without waiting for Yahoo to spider your site and find a missing URL or find an updated robots.txt file.
To delete a URL just find it in Site Explorer and click the Delete URL button. This feature will not prevent the crawler from requesting the URL but it will prevent that specific URL from being shown in the index.
URLs should be removed within 48 hrs. If you do make a mistake and delete a URL, but later want to undelete it, that option is available under the Manage - Actions section of Site explorer.
It is hoped that Google soon adopts something similar as this functionality that is badly needed and will help to provide better Search results. For more details on Yahoo Site Explorer and its features see Yahoo Site Explorer Help.
I am sure by now that you have read that keywords are the key to getting great search engine results. There are the keywords in your met tags, keywords in your page content, and keywords in your reciprocal links.
You need to start by using the Yahoo and Google keyword tools, look for the best keywords pertaining to your business, and selecting the most important keywords to target.
Once you have your keyword list of gold, you need to use the same keywords in everything. In your Meta tags, your content in your pages, your website address if possible, your image names, your website subfolder names, your backlink text, and your anchor tags.
The more consistent your keywords are, the better you will do in search results. Most website owners just too basic search engine optimization and don't take the time to apply the keywords to everything they post on the website.
Make it a habit to use your keywords in every detail as long is it makes sense to the reader. You we rise above your competition as they haven't taken the time to really optimize the web site.
